Academic Policies and Guidelines

The academy follows the syllabus prescribed by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education and the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education. Although the medium of instruction is Bengali, special emphasis is placed on teaching English. Additionally, learning computer skills is mandatory and receives focused attention.

Examination System

  • The academic year is divided into two terms.
  • Monthly tests are conducted in every subject before the term examinations.
  • Weekly class tests are also held in each subject.
  • All examinations are conducted with utmost diligence.

Progress Reports

  • Results of monthly and term examinations are published to help students understand their progress and foster healthy academic competition.
  • A comprehensive progress report is provided to students at the end of the annual examination.

Uniform and School Bag

  • To instill discipline and proper grooming, students are required to wear a neat and clean uniform.
  • The academy's specific uniform and school bag are mandatory for all students.
  • These items are available at designated shops approved by the institution.

Student Discipline

  • The academy upholds strict rules and regulations at every step. Students and guardians are expected to adhere to these policies.
  • Any violation of written, oral, or traditional rules will result in warnings, and failure to rectify behavior may lead to expulsion.
  • Students involved in any substance abuse will be expelled immediately.

Uniform Policy

  • Students must maintain a neat and appropriate dress code that reflects their identity and etiquette as students.
  • For classes IX and X, all fees for admission, registration, form fill-up, and transportation to the examination center for the board exams must be borne by the guardian.

Behavior Towards Faculty and Management

  • All students and their guardians must maintain courteous and respectful behavior towards the academy's principal, management officials, teachers, and staff members.

Holiday regulations

Academy Fees

A detailed Fees Structure table is provided in the prospectus.

  • Application Form Fee: ₹50.
  • At the time of admission, the admission fee along with the hostel fee for the respective month must be paid.
  • The monthly fee must be paid within the first week of each month. If necessary, parents/guardians will be informed via message or direct phone call from the academy office.
  • If the monthly fee is not paid within the first week, a late fine of ₹25 per day will be charged.
  • The admission fee and any deposited amount are non-refundable under any circumstances.
  • At the beginning of each academic session, students must pay the Re-admission Fee as per the academy's regulations.
  • The academic session runs from January to December, and fees must be paid for all 12 months.
  • Students must deposit the specified amount for the Student ID Card, Visitor Card, and Student Diary, which can be collected from the office upon payment.

Leave Policy

  • As per government regulations, the total number of holidays is 60 days. However, the academy will grant approximately 75 days of leave, including 65 regular holidays and 10 additional holidays. Major holidays include summer vacation, Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid-ul-Adha, and the year-end break.
  • Leave requests must be submitted in writing by the guardian in the Student Diary.
  • During holidays, students will only be handed over to their designated guardian or an authorized representative holding a Visitor Card.
  • Students must attend all classes unless they are physically unwell or face unavoidable circumstances.
  • Leave may be granted for reasons such as serious illness of a close relative, an accident, a sibling’s wedding, or official government requirements.
  • In cases of irregular attendance, unauthorized absences, or habitual tardiness, guardians will be informed. If the issue persists, the student may face disciplinary action, including possible expulsion.
  • All outstanding dues must be cleared before the designated holiday period begins.
